ADULT MINSTRY - Choir
Several choirs comprise the music program at Hamilton Church. The Chancel Choir is comprised of 35 adults who rehearse on a regular basis and sing for the morning worship services weekly. Their musical style ranges from classical to contemporary and everything in-between. They are an enthusiastic and dedicated group of people who give much of their time to the church.
The teenage choir (Celebration) is a vibrant group of 24 young people in grades 6-12, who rehearse on Sunday mornings and sing monthly for worship services. They enjoy all types of music, from the traditional Christmas carols to meaningful contemporary music.
Kidz Praiz meets every Sunday morning following Sunday School. Heather Blair and a team of adults work with this group. They sing for special occasions, such as Choir Dedication Sunday and Christmas Eve.
The Carillon Choir (handbells) rings on Easter and other special occasions, and rehearses whenever a viable group is together.
The instrumental program (Clarion Choir) at Hamilton is very active, including folks from our membership as well as neighboring high schools. The orchestra plays for major holidays and Choir Dedication Sunday, and is under the direction of Devon Smeal.
New members are always welcomed into all of the groups. Contact Obbie and George McClintock at 412-833-2689 or georgeandobbie@comcast.net for details.
