HAMILTON PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH - LEADERSHIP - Deacons

It is the duty of the Deacons to minister to those who are sick, in need, the friendless and anyone who may be in distress both within and beyond this community of faith.  They organize lunches for family and friends in times of bereavement.  They visit the shut-ins, host the Hamiltonian lunch bunch, sponsors of the Annual Rummage Sale.  The term is 3 years, and one can serve for 2 terms.  Once you are ordained as a Deacon, you are a Deacon in the Presbyterian Church (USA) for life.  The Deacons usually meet the first Tuesday of the month.
