HAMILTON PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH - LEADERSHIP - Staff
Emily Miller
Hello! My name is Rev. Emily Miller and I came to serve God at Hamilton in November of 2007 as the associate pastor, or Director of Discipleship, as they like to call me. Prior to coming to Hamilton, I was an attorney in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, and then a stay at home mom while I went to seminary. My duties at Hamilton are varied, as I oversee the Christian Education programs for children and adults. I also participate in worship, preach one Sunday per month, provide pastoral care and act as the staff liaison for the Board of Deacons.
I love working at Hamilton because it is such a welcoming community of faith. Church members have embraced not only me, but my husband and four children as well. I invite you to try Hamilton to see if it is the right fit for your church home. We are informal and friendly, but yet we maintain a standard Presbyterian-style worship service. I hope to see you in church soon!
George and Obbie McClintock - Choirs
We started at Hamilton Church in September of 1964. It has been a “good ride”. The music program includes a high percentage of the membership and expresses worship in many different ways, from the classics to C and W – not to mention Michael Jackson’s Man in the Mirror which was recently sung by the teenage choir during their slide presentation of the summer mission trip. We chose Hamilton church because of its location to George’s teaching position, and through the recommendation of several members back in the 60’s. There have been no regrets! The choirs and choir families have become part of our family over the years. They have watched us raise our daughter, Diane, who was born the spring after they started at Hamilton, and who now substitutes for her parents during our many travels. Even though George has retired from his principal career – teaching French – the McClintocks are still involved in several parttime jobs, not to mention their Avon route. George works as an Emergency Room Technician at St. Clair Hospital. So – come aboard – and lend your talents to our vibrant program.
Sharyn Ott – Office Manager
Ever since I started at Hamilton Presbyterian Church as Office Manager in June of 2005, I have felt like a member of a large, wonderful family. As a matter of fact, on my first day of work I was invited to join in at a luncheon one of the Women’s Circles was holding before their summer break. Being of Slovak, Polish and Dutch decent, an offer of food was something I couldn’t refuse! From that day on I was “Hooked on Hamilton” and its members. Over the years, I have joined the Chancel Choir and my daughter, Kendra, and I have loved attending the various fellowship functions. With God’s blessings, I look forward to enjoying a long relationship with my “Hamilton Family”.
