OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE - Ushers

The Ushers at Hamilton help with the weekly worship service in many ways.  They prepare the sanctuary for worship, the Sacraments for Communion and the Baptismal Font when needed.  The ushers also welcome the parishioners and distribute the bulletin, take the offering, and arrange for a boy or girl in the 4th through 7th grade Sunday School classes to act as the acolyte to light the candles for each service.
 
Currently, there are four ushering crews made up of four individuals each, therefore, each crew ushers every four months.   Ushers are volunteers and anyone from high school age up is eligible to be an usher.  The Head Usher establishes the schedules and is a permanent member of the Worship & Music Ministry Team.
